new and confused

Just signed up, and looking at some free crochet patterns. I do not understand the diagrams and am totally confused. I would love to try the patterns but need some intro to reading and understanding the diagrams.

Welcome the our wonderful site. Here is my suggestion for video's to learn how to read a pattern. this is Beth's back to basics videos and she goes over how to read a written pattern as well as basic crocheting stiches. I am sorry I don't know of a good diagram reading video
