new crocheter
Although I have been knitting for over 35 years I have only started crocheting 7 weeks ago. So far I have crocheted two blankets, a poncho, a circular cushion and a waistcoat. I like the patchwork design of crochet but prefer to use only 1 colour and perhaps a second for edging. I like to use different stitches to create texture. I only wish I had started to crochet years ago but in the past every time I tried I crocheted too tight. So I'm going to a crochet class once a week and loving it.

Hi mrcltajh Welcome I tried knitting and made a shell and a prayer shawl. I am not that coordinated and kept dropping stitches every time my husband interrupt me I felt like tearing his head off. I quit crocheting 31 years ago due to illness but back at it again been doing it for 2 years now. Enjoying it immensely. I have made lots of things from table runners, place mats and matching napkins holders, fingerless gloves and matching scarves, Barvarian and Crocodile head band , baby hats and matching booties lots of things. You see I joined Annie's and get kits from here every month and now I believe I am and intermediate. Well you have a nice day and take care. You will learns lots of things and the ladies will help you in any questions you ask them they have helped me a lot.

Hi Theresa L yes I have lots of time for I am disable. I could not concentrate because I suffer from bipolar and post-traumatic stress. Due to a bad marriage and divorce. I don't mean to tell anyone my problems but you see I became a survivor. I went across the fine line and back again. I have a Psychiatrist who give me meds that I have to take the rest of my life. I can deal with that for I am faithful in taking them for I learned my lesson. Now I am retired. I love to Crochet it is my thing and it is good for the mind. Well thank you for the compliment and you take care
