    Hi from NYC

    Hi, I am looking for ideas on what to do with leftover yarn. I am not interested in cutesy items, but rather functional ones. All of my leftover is acrylic.

    Hey dorothy francone welcome to ct----i read in a web site that wen you have small balls of yarn left over to tie them together and it will make a pretty aftgan I did it and it is turning out to look like an lndian aftgan---its really turning out pretty I do a row of dc then a row of half doubles---there are a lot of knots but they can be hidden----bettybee

    Hiya Dorothy, I have found a few afghans and shawls also a beanie and a brimmed hat.. There are many free sites available. .Do a search and if you have any further difficulties, please do not hesitate to ask?
    Also, Welcome to this wonderful site.. I enjoy it more everyday and I'm sure you will also.. The members are great and so very helpful.. Teresa
