My grandmother taught me to crochet, now I am a grandmother. Even so I just learned how to make a crocheted flower and have already spent way too much time on youtube looking at all the variations of flowers.

You must have a lot of patience. I made doilies when I was 13, a whole set dresser scarf, night table etc. It was the pineapple pattern. The closest think I have done in the more recent years has been angel xmas tree ornaments, I made one for each grand-daughter, copied from one a friend had. I have some afghans started by my mom and aunt that I inherited, finishing them is in the "to do" category. More recently I have made scarves and hats and now I am doing those headband/ear warmer things, that is why I learned to do the flower. I have spent too much time looking at all the variations but now I feel I can do my own. Good way to use some of that leftover yarn.

Thank you Barbara, there is an afghan my mom made for me that I can't figure out the stitch. I am going to take a picture and maybe someone will be able to help me with that.

That is a beautiful dog. The past 2 years have been the first in my life that I am without a dog. But I had 2 cats and now one of my neighbor's many has decided she would rather live here too.
